Happy Spring! It is windy and pretty cold here at Woodland Whimsy this first morning of spring. Happily, we’ve had a couple of weeks of lovely spring like weather that allowed us to have our barbeque on St. Patrick’s Day. Today we’ll see how it all turned out.

The ribs are almost completely done cooking. It’s time for Gilbert to add the barbeque sauce.

“It is important to wait until the end so the sauce doesn’t burn.” explained Gilbert.

Gilbert put the vegetable kabobs on the grill while the barbeque sauce cooked into the meat. “You have to have some balance in your diet. I love vegetables.”

“Look at all the yummy food!” said Gilbert happily.

I have to tell you that I couldn’t believe how much Gilbert ate. He didn’t help with clean up, he just fell asleep next to his plate after this photo was taken.
