I have to share with you a sad fact regarding goblins. Goblins are gross. Even the cute ones that reside in Woodland Whimsy can be pretty darn yucky.

Isn’t he cute! Bobby no longer lives here in Woodland Whimsy, but I couldn’t pass up a good chance to use his photo. Most goblins don’t have much magic. However, there is one trick that they are all able to do.

All goblins are able to make their mucus into pets. These pets are called snottlings.

These little guys get into everything!  Here is one hiding in the fruit bowl.

I found this one on the spout of my tea pot. I am so glad there wasn’t any tea in there.

On the bookshelves

They were playing hide and seek on the book shelves. These are the only two I could find. I think they were looking for the rest.

The snottlings love to go out and play in the garden. This is good, there is less trouble to get into out there.

The goblins keep a good watch on them to make sure they don’t wander into someone else’s yard or out into the street.

The snottlings can be a handful(not to mention a bit gross), but the goblins love them and take good care of them. A happy goblin is a less troublesome goblin, so I am glad that the snottlings are around.

The snottlings are needle felted with hand dyed alpaca fiber. You can see more of my work on my facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Woodland-Whimsy/152926771418841
